Amazon.com is an online retailer and provider of web services.

As well as selling books, DVDs and CDs - and a variety of other consumer goods - Amazon also provides online infrastructure services under the banner of Amazon Web Services or AWS. These make Amazon a leading provider of Cloud computing services.

Amazon also have an affiliate scheme, which allowed website owners to create their own online shops, selling goods on Amazon and receiving a small cut of the profit.
